Eckhart Tolle was my first window into the spiritual side of life and to this day and I am still very much thankful to him for that. :)

Hi Michael, thanks for reading and commenting, and I think this is true for many people in the world, and I'm also grateful that he's been able to help so many people access the spiritual dimension of life. Especially in our day and age when we so desperately need to understand the spiritual aspect of our ecological crisis.

I do love how your comments make me smile - I think you use words that remind me of the essence of Aussies not taking themselves too seriously😁

I love this, Camilla! I couldn't agree more. I believe with my whole heart that we are collectively moving towards that balance (maybe very, very slowly, but it's happening 😁). I love that iceberg image, it really illustrates the idea so perfectly.

I'm thrilled that we have connected through our writing on Substack Jenna, as the more of us that brighten our connections around this movement, the more we dream it into being❤️🙏🕊

"May we now be at the tipping point where people all over the world wake up to the value of Conscious Balance" YES! YES! This is my prayer, intention, devotion, incantation, etc that I hold and offer. I too have been very moved by Eckhart Tolle. This balance is what is most needed in our world today. Rippling out to everything else. ...being...doing...being...doing...

Hi Julie, I echo to you what I wrote to Jenna above too. So much gratitude to have connected here on Substack through our writing. The more of us that brighten the connections between us, the more chance we have of dreaming this movement into being❤️🙏🕊

I loved reading this Camilla. One thing that got me thinking was the iceberg imagery, how the depth of the iceberg under the sea, representing "being", is larger than what appears at the surface, representing "doing" - I'm wondering what this speaks to you? Is balance not so much a 50/50 split, but rather a reflection for what is most needed in the world, in that moment? To me, I saw the need for us to come into balance in our collective, which involves many of us placing the importance back onto the practice of what has most neglected in our society, our "being" and having this as the foundation that leads our doing. Is this what allows us to return to an equal balance of both? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hi Emma, Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed reading this post. You may not know how meaningful this is to me. And yes, I agree. For thousands of years we have been living in an unbalanced patriarchy that has valued doing over being, and it's now changing.

I believe we are moving into an era where human beings will understand Conscious Co-Creation. We're moving away from believing a person only achieves through one's will; and with that constant push and hustle, suffering is often experienced. But now, human beings all over the world are learning the value of the Dance of Will and Surrender with the Divine, and how to consciously co-create with joy and equanimity. My next post shines more light on this subject too.

Thank you again for reading and commenting Emma!❤️🙏🕊

Thank you very much for this! I am vaguely familiar with Eckhart Tolle, but thank you for bringing him to my attention again. I'll check him out as soon as I can. I think the "problem" with the balance between "being" and "doing" is it is not static but very dynamic and we have to constantly recalibrate it as we go. At least, that is where I struggle with it the most in my own journey.

Thanks again for the piece!

Hi Doga, thanks so much for reading and commenting. And yes, as with all of these spiritual principles, I also find life is a continuous practice of remembering them, and putting them into practice. And when I do, I come back into balance again. I regain my equanimity.

For me, spiritual principles are like the keel of a boat, after I’ve been blown over in the wind, they bring me back to center time and time again. Which is why friends and community who are also interested in spiritual principles are so important, as we all remind each other.
