Sometimes I suffer and it’s a path to something else. It’s poetic almost. Though I get what you are saying. 🙏

Hi Bernadette, thanks so much for reading and commenting and yes, exactly: the transformation and alchemization of suffering is what brings us personal and spiritual growth. Where I often get caught though, is in trying to avoid the painful feelings that may arise, rather than simply feeling every feeling, not identifying with it, and knowing it’s simply causes and conditions arising and they will pass too. Or in other words, I can simply witness my humanity from my divinity.

Once I “got” this understanding though, it’s also a matter of remembering it when I’m in the thick of a painful emotion😁Lots to practice🥰🙏🏼🕊

This is wonderful information, Camilla, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom! I love the idea of observing humanity through one's divinity. And not taking anything personally. That's some of the best advice ever. I've even noticed that, when I can remember to do this, if someone lies to me it actually has nothing to do with me. It's so powerful. Lately, I've been trying out the approach of including everything as the self. It sort of seems like the opposite of this buddhist approach but I actually think, in the end, it's exactly the same.

"...if someone lies to me it actually has nothing to do with me. It's so powerful." Yes, exactly!!!

And that's an interesting practice to, "try out the approach of including everything as the self" as yes, I can imagine it increases awareness of what is the "self" too.

You're welcome re sharing wisdom, and thanks so much for sharing yours too❤️🙏🕊️

A very interesting piece, Camilla.

The ‘self’ and the different ways we think about it has always been fascinating to me and your piece further enhanced that fascination. :)
