Last Tuesday, I deeply valued the way that
shined the light on the noble hearts of all who came to help with the catastrophic destruction of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key bridge. In her own words, in her post on Thursday:“I wrote this Note in a fever of need to appreciate not only the first responders, but the whole back bench of people who keep our complex systems running.”
I so appreciate how Julie writes about this, and it’s true: we all need to pause every now and then and recognize and value the people who work in the vast infrastructures that stretch out across our planet. When you truly stop and think about that, how can gratitude not be foremost in your heart?
