A Sunday Short Post
Good morning beloved reader,
On Friday March 22nd, there was no snow on the ground here in southern New Hampshire. Saturday morning we woke up to a white landscape and gray sky. Yes, I chuckled when I thought about how Thursday was supposed to be the first day of spring😂 Welcome to the month of March here where we live.
All day Saturday, on and off, snow and rain continued. As the night drew in, the wind picked up and began to howl. In the woods around our cabin we heard trees cracking, breaking, and falling like giant wounded soldiers.
Around midnight, all at once, we heard a giant crack, felt our cabin shudder, and the power went out. We grabbed our phones, turned on the flashlights, and looked around to see what had happened.
To our surprise, no tree had fallen on our home. Jamie speculated a tree may have fallen on the power lines and brought them to the ground, causing a huge tug to the structure of our house.
I called the electric company and reported the power outage. We went to …
