I love your Welcome page, Camilla! I also love the Rumi quote you used and the picture too!! Your Welcome page has inspired me to do mine finally! I also love that you referenced the lotus flower blossoming in spite of the mud! :) Great Welcome page! It is a reminder of why I love reading your Substack newsletter! Thank you for shining your light, Camilla! The world needs your medicine!

Your generosity and kindness are truly appreciated L.E. And yes, like you, I'm so inspired by the idea of the Lotus blossoming from the mud - Thich Nhat Hanh's book, No Mud, No Lotus, is one of my favorites🥰 ✨🌟💖🙏🕊️

Hi Camilla. I enjoyed reading this and I love the Rumi quote you included. And the questions you invite us to consider are so appreciated, especially, for me, this one:

How does a human being stay connected with one’s own inner-divinity, inner-authority, and stand strong in one’s own sovereignty? ✨💚

thank you so much for your beautiful attention to my writing Veronica! I'm so appreciative. And yes, I also practice reminding myself of this too - I have a sense that this kind of practice is happening all over the world as we transition out of the patriarchal hierarchies that have brought us to where we are.

I have to also say that I'm quite tickled to read more men writing about this same thing! This book is an example: From the Core: A New Masculine Paradigm for Leading with Love, Living Your Truth, and Healing the World, by John Wineland

Agreed, re men more intentionally exploring balance in their lives as well. And that title does sound wonderful and one I will add to my ever-growing list to explore. And I love the word tickled--it makes me smile just thinking of it. 😊🤗

Hi Michael, thanks and good to hear from you. And I do have to tell you that part of the inspiration for me to do this was reading your truly lovely welcome page. I actually shared yours with an older Aussie male friend who I’m encouraging to write a Substack, as your Welcome page was so heartfelt and engaging. I found it vulnerable and yet light and fun at the same time - perhaps that fun Aussie cheekiness/ rascally nature shining through again🥰✨🌟💖🙏🏼🕊

Ohh that’s so awesome. I’m so glad to hear my welcome page was a part of the inspiration for your newly revamped and wonderful welcome page.

Also, tell your friend that before I started my substack I was honestly terrified to share my writing, and that fear held me back for quite a long time, but once I finally took the leap, I have been so happy to have done so, not just because everyone on substack is so encouraging and supportive but also because I feel better about not letting my fear hold me back. I hope that helps. :)
