Good morning beloved reader,
On November 4, 2022 I opened a new Instagram account called CamillaReadsWrites with an intention to honor the authors I read and to share my own writing. The books I read and share have an emphasis on female writers, who have historically not been as respected or acknowledged within the realm of the white male patriarchy.
My first post was an old favorite: Outrageous Openness: Letting the Divine Take the Lead by Tosha Silver.
Not only is Tosha Silver an experienced astrologer — which speaks to me, as my mother used astrology as a parenting tool: to understand each of her 4 daughters and herself and others — but Tosha’s writing resonates deep within my heart and I want to share with you a favorite poem from her book.
May you enjoy this reading❤️🙏🕊
Something happens after I align with the Divine for a while.
I begin to feel on a cellular level that things are unfolding exactly in the way that they should.
At the rate and timing they need.
I start to trust the process.
I relax from the endless pushing that I learned at birth.
On some fundamental, mysterious level, I just let go.
Not with that bitterness people feel when they fear the (ego’s) dreams won’t occur.
Not with passivity as right actions do get shown.
Rather I relax into this calm curiosity about where the flow might go.
I’m detached yet somehow riveted by how the story will unfold.
I feel spaciously receptive and open to what wishes to come.
I give it all room to blossom.
I trust the highest, one way or another, eventually will unfold.
I know that with God as my Source I needn’t cling to any one plan.
And I’m not clutching a list of desires, pushing the ego’s agenda even more.
When I’m in cycles of quiet and waiting, I catch my breath knowing the wheel again will turn.
I rest because as the right actions get revealed a lot will arise to be done.
I wait for the signs and the timing rather than rip open the cocoon.
I trust that delays might be welcome.
I trust that delays can be good.
I trust that delays are all perfect.
And I stay present just to witness my own birth.
I read this book with my three besties a while back and I agree! It helped me see the world differently, through a gaze of wonder and love. Thanks for the reminder!
Yes! ♥️♥️♥️ As you know, it's one my faves. I return to this book again and again.
